Settings

The Settings window is used to configure OSDx for the device, clinic and reporting environment in which it is being used.

Access to Settings is password protected. This helps prevent accidental changes to device, reporting and database-related options. Settings should normally be changed only by an authorised user.

Device

Use this section to select and save the imaging camera and, where applicable, connect the Bluetooth switch used with the device.

The Device page also provides access to database backup and restore. Regular database backups are recommended, especially before moving the software to another computer or making major system changes.

Location

Enter the institute name, address and contact details that identify the examination location. An institute logo can also be selected.

This section also maintains the list of doctors whose names may be used in reports. Doctors can be added, renamed or removed as required.

Report

The Report tab controls how generated reports are presented. It allows authorised users to edit report styling and change the order in which examination components appear.

Factory Default restores the supplied report style. Reset discards unsaved changes, while Save Changes stores the current configuration.

Add on tests

This section configures optional clinical entries that may be included with an OSDx examination, such as a symptom questionnaire, Schirmer's test, meibum grading, ocular-surface staining and TBUT.

Only tests that are routinely used at the clinic need to be enabled.

Advanced

The Advanced page is intended for maintenance and service functions. Some features require the vendor-provided service key and online verification before they can be used.

Routine users should not change Advanced settings unless specifically instructed by OSDx support or an authorised service engineer.

Changes to Settings can affect subsequent examinations and reports. If you are unsure about an option, leave the existing value unchanged and contact your system administrator or OSDx support.
