1.    The OSDx® device: There are more than one versions of the OSDx® device based on form factor
    1.          When downloading OSDx® software make sure you have identified your device correctly
    2.          Care of OSDx® device –
      1.     OSDx® is a rugged device and requires very little care. Two areas of particular importance
        1.                        The front transparent window – as this is susceptible to physical damage. To clean the window use a dry fibreless or microfiber cloth or chamois leather used for cleaning spectacle lenses. Make sure there are no dust particles as rubbing them may result in scratches. You can use a camera lens cleaning blower for this purpose before using the cloth. Do not use a damp cloth or chemicals as these may leave permanent marks on the window
        2.                        The single USB cable that emerges from the device should not be pulled forcefully or used to move the device. If damaged the device has to be replaced in whole.
      2.     The USB cable should only be used to connect to a PC or Laptop running Windows 10 or 11 (either USB 2.0 or USB 3.x). Do not plug it into a USB charger as there are no batteries to charge. The device draws power from the USB port of the PC
      3.     The device is normally sealed in a water-resistant manner. However, avoid contact with fluids or submerging it. If there is a spill of fluids clean it with a dry cloth and ensure that it is dry before operating the device
      4.     OSDx® device uses 5 V DC and is safe for people with Pacemakers or other cardiac devices. There are no radiation hazards or electrocution hazards if operated as specified above.
      5.     OSDx® device uses white visible light within safety limits. White light is used only for the Lipimetry study. Do not turn on Lipimetry mode before attaching the Lipimetry cone as the brightness may be discomforting for the patient. Once the Lipimetry cone is attached the level of discomfort is negligible. Avoid performing Lipimetry in dilated pupil as it may leave a scotoma for a considerable amount of time. Avoid other tests like Visual Field Analysis after performing a Lipimetry on the same day
      6.     OSDx® device uses low intensity near infrared for all the other tests. The intensity is too low for any sort of damage to the periocular skin or ocular structures even if exposed for long time (hours)
