Downloading and installing OSDx App

1. OSDx Application can be downloaded from the DoubleHelix website. Once downloaded run the MSI file.
2. System requirements: Windows 10/11, minimum 8 GB system memory (RAM), SSD hard disk preferred. Graphics card is not mandatory but improves performance. When running OSDx software it is recommended that you do not have any other resource intensive processes running in the background (like screen grabber software, video player etc.). Such processes can result in slow running of the OSDx software and resultant frame dropping which may affect the performance of acquisition and/or processing of video data by the OSDx device.
3. Validating the installation
   1. When you run OSDx App for the first time you will see a screen asking you to validate the installation of the device and accompanying software (App). All devices are pre-validated when you acquire it and you must have received a validation email from DoubleHelix Enterprises. Enter the validation code received in that email (you can copy and paste it) into the appropriate text box on the validation form
   2. Each device has a unique device ID and once you validate it from one computer you cannot use it on any other computer – so install the App in the computer that you want to use or was provided with the device
   3. During the process of validation your computer must have an active internet connection otherwise the validation will fail. You cannot use the App without validation.
   4. During the process of validation the App will send some encrypted information about your system that will uniquely identify your computer and device with servers of DoubleHelix. This information is encrypted at your end and DoubleHelix Enterprises or anyone else cannot read this information. It is used only for identity matching.
4. Do not try to manipulate the registration process – it may render your device unusable.
